Registration Requirements & Fees

Registration & submissions for our 2013 Worthing Arts Trail event are now being accepted!

To Register:

  1. Send us an email to register your VENUE and confirm opening DATES and TIMES.
  2. Pay your registration fee.
  3. Submit all venue information, artist information and images for the brochure and website as per instructions below.
  4. Pay for any additional artists if applicable.

PLEASE NOTE: Your registration will not be accepted until steps 1 & 2 have been completed and within the deadlines defined on this website. Once registered, we will create your venue page and individual artist pages on our website. We will then create your page to be inserted into the brochure and email a proof to you for checking and approval after the set deadlines have passed. Once you have approved your final page we will add it to the brochure ready for printing. If you wish to change any information after final approval, and within the deadlines, you can do so, but there will be a small admin fee of £10. Unfortunately we can not make any changes after the set final deadlines have passed.

Registration Requirements.

Artists

Images

  • We need three images from each artist. We will resize them for the website.
  • Size of the images: ‘Jpeg’ images to be 300dpi resolution.
  • Please could you email them to your venue organiser who will forward them to us.

Text

  • List of what you produce, eg “Paintings and prints ” or “ Bags and hats”. Please restrict this to four words maximum.
  • Preferred contact details, eg your phone number, your email or preferably, if you have one, your website. You can also include any blog, Facebook and Twitter pages.
  • You may submit a longer description of your work for the website.
  • Please could you email them to your venue organiser who will forward them to us.

Venues

Venue holders are responsible for paying the fees in full. It will make our work much easier if venue owners collate the information for all their exhibitors and send it on to us (you can do some of the nagging and chasing for us!)

Images

  • You need to nominate a venue organiser who understands the file sizes, so that they can help any participants that don’t.
  • Venue owners need to select one image to represent them in the brochure (portrait format works better than landscape format).
  • Send us three pictures from each of your exhibitors. Images should be named, ie. johnsmith22acaciaavenue-01.jpeg

Text

  • We need a short description of your venue eg “This popular house on the seafront will once again show a high quality mix of contemporary art and craft”
  • Contact  telephone number for venue
  • Any special instructions eg “follow signs to rear of building”
  • Wheelchair access? Refreshments? Garden? Toilet Facilities?
  • Tell us about the work you have at your venue (Fine Art, General Art, Community Art, Crafts, Jewellery, Workshops)
  • The descriptions of the work of each of your artists for their web page
  • It would help if all the text was on one Word/Pages document.

Hints for good images

  • Photograph objects such as ceramics against a plain black or white background.
  • Photograph paintings in soft daylight without glass or scan drawings.

Fees.

PLEASE NOTE: It is at the venues discretion whether they divide the fee between artists and/or charge a commission on sales.

Open House Fee

The fee is a very reasonable £60 for a venue with up to two listed artists with an addition of £6 extra for additional artists (eg £72 for a venue with four artists) for this you get a full page house listing in our new A5 brochure, a house listing on the website and an artists page on the website with three images. Plus all the extra work we put into organising, marketing, etc.

Local Business Fee

The fee is a flat rate of £120 per venue. Included in this, you will receive an advert in our brochure (1/4 page) and web-links to your business website or social media pages. You will also receive the same listings as an open house.

Community Organisation Fee

The fee is a flat rate of £100 per venue. Included in this, you will receive an advert in our brochure (1/4 page) and web-links to your business website or social media pages. You will also receive the same listings as an open house.
